Group officers have access to the officers list and officer settings.
Note: You’ll need to have the Manage Officer Settings officer permission.
To get started, manage your group Group Settings. Under Dashboard, click Officers.
This list can be searched or filtered for specific positions, Account Types, etc.
All officers are listed with an optional bio that will appear on the group page. Each officer can also have a position, custom position, and role Managing Officer Positions, Custom Positions, and Roles.
Each officer is active by default, but you can uncheck the Active Officer box once the member is no longer an officer. (The group history will still show that this member was previously an officer.)
An officer with Main Contact checked will be the recipient of messages sent to the group via contact dialogs. (This user’s email will not be public.) You can also choose whether to make the officer name and profile image visible on the group page and website The Group Website.
For each officer, there are three options at the right.
- Clicking Profile opens the officer’s user profile User Profile and Privacy.
- The Move (nine-dot) icon can be used to change officer order by dragging. (This order will be reflected on the group page The Group Website and group website The Group Website.)
- Clicking the More (three-dot) icon opens a menu with options to send a private note to the officer, send a password reset email, and view their position history.
At the top of the page are options to manage officer notifications Managing Officer Notifications, manage officer permissions Managing Officer Permissions, and add officers.
Each officer has a checkbox. When one or more officers are selected this way, you can:
- Send an email Generate a report (spreadsheet) with details on the selected officers to the selected officers
- Generate a report (spreadsheet) with details on the selected officers
- Delete the selected officers
