Uploading Group Members and Officers

Bulk upload members and officers for multiple groups at once from a spreadsheet

While group officers have the capability to upload their own members, admins are able to bulk upload members, as well as officers, for multiple groups at once. 

Switch to Admin mode if needed. Open Groups on the left, and choose Upload Members


Download the members template file by clicking the file name in Step 1.


Be sure to read the detailed instructions in Step 2, explaining how to work with the template file.


Important points: 

  • Do not remove or rename any columns, even if some columns have no data.
  • The worksheet containing the data must be named "members."
  • Cells in columns with orange headers are mandatory.
  • First name and last name go in separate cells.
  • Cells in Column A are for the group acronym - the characters appended to the school website for use as The Group Website. You can generate a groups report for the full list of acronyms.
  • If the user is a member or officer of multiple groups, a separate line must be included for each group.
  • Member cells: Enter 1 for member, 0 for contact.
  • Officer cells: Enter 1 if the person is an officer, 0 if not.

When your file is ready, save it and upload it in Step 3.
