Departments and Services Hub Menu Settings

Display a directory of campus departments and services within a Community or Event Hub

The Departments and Services hub menu item opens a directory of departments. In addition to the standard settings hub menu item settings Hub Settings, there are fields for choosing the departments Hub Settings that will be included in this directory.


You can select departments to include by Department Type and / or department name.

  • A department is a type of group, created by faculty or staff rather than a student officer. 

  • A Department Type is any Group Type (created in Custom Values) designated as a department.


Departments themselves are listed in the Groups list Groups and Departments. A department is any group assigned a Group Type designated as a department.
