Allowing Non-Officers to Submit Events

Enable group members or non-members to propose events that officers can then approve

By default, only group officers can create events. But you can enable group members and / or non-group members to propose events. 

A proposed event is saved as a draft Draft Events and will need approval to go forward.


To enable this permission for group members, manage your group page and click Settings.

 


Check the box to allow members to submit events.

 

This permission for non-group members is found in the Group Settings in the More tab.


When members and / or non-members can submit events, they will see a Submit Event button in the group page, at the top of the Events tab.


The proposed event needs only a few required fields, and has a Submit button at the bottom.


Each proposed event will appear in the list of Draft events.
