Registration and Feedback Options

Configure registration options, ticket types, and post-event feedback requests for your event

Unless your event is free and open, requiring no registration, you will need to set up at least one registration option.

There are also many use cases for creating multiple registration options, such as:

  • Early-bird tickets with different prices and sale dates
  • Different prices for different Account Types
  • Different ticket quantities for different Account Types

This is Step 7 of Creating an Event. If you need to make changes to an event saved as a draft, find it in the Draft list and click Edit Event.

Note: There are many more event options available in Step 8: Advanced Options Advanced Options for Events.

If registration is required, choose Yes at the top of this step.

By default, there is a single, zero-cost registration option called RSVP. Keep this option if you only want to collect attendee names, with no limitations. To change registration details, click the option name or its Edit link.

In the Registration Option window, Name and Price (which can be zero) are the only required fields. Note that in-platform ticket sales require integration with one of our supported payment gateways.

Enter all other details as needed.

Options include:

  • Flexible Price: If enabled, users can set their own price, equivalent to a donation. The Price field above must be zero.
  • Quantity Available: Enter the maximum registrations available for this option. Or leave this field empty for unlimited capacity.
  • Waiting List: For events that have reached registration capacity, a waiting list enables users to register for the waiting list and be notified when a spot opens.
  • Waiting list promotion timeout: For users who receive a waiting list notification, this is the maximum amount of time they have to respond and claim their spot.
  • Min per order, Max per order: Specify how many registrations can be claimed by a single user.
  • Sales Date and Time: Define when ticket sales start and end.
  • Quick description: The event description that appears in the event page’s registration section.
  • Cancellation and Refunds: If cancellation is enabled, set deadlines for cancellations and refunds, if relevant.

Once your registration option is complete, you can edit or delete it, manage access rights, or duplicate it as a basis for another option. You can also click Add New Option below the table. With multiple registration options, you can set different prices for members vs. non-members, different prices for different time frames, etc.

Below the registration options table are several more optional registration options. These apply to the event in general, including all registration options.

  • Close Event Registration: Check this box if you want to prevent additional users from registering.
  • Registration will be open from / to: Set start and end dates and times for registration.
  • Attendance limit: Maximum number of total registrations allowed for this event.
  • RSVP Not Attending: If enabled, users can respond that they are not attending.
  • Reminder: Sends a reminder email to registrants before the event. Set the number of days in advance and custom reminder text.
  • RSVP personalized email confirmation: By default, a generic email will be sent with the text “Your event registration was successful.” You can change this text, or choose not to send a confirmation email.
  • Display the list of attendees to: Determine who can see the list of registered attendees: everyone, logged-on users, or nobody. You can also allow users to post public comments about the event, or hide numbers of registrants and available tickets on the registration page.
  • Ticket cover: Choose the image that will be included on your event tickets and the RSVP confirmation emails.
  • Feedback request: Sends a post-event email to attendees requesting feedback. Set the amount of time after which to send, choose recipients (those who registered or checked-in form), include an optional survey or form attendees, and add custom email text.
